CHSFL/Independent roundup: Slow-starting Hayes edges CK

CJ O’Neil has seen this before from his Cardinal Hayes football team.

The Cardinals, who can be an offensive juggernaut at times, have been slow starters this season and found themselves trailing Christ the King by a point at the half. Jeramiah Kobena rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. The Syracuse-bound senior also caught a 75-yard touchdown pass from Kwamayne Davis.
