Brittany Murphy died Dec. 20 of what was initially described as cardiac arrest. Her mother reportedly found the “Clueless” star collapsed in the shower in the LA home of Brittany’s husband at around 8 a.m. The LA County coroner’s office ruled pneumonia as the young actresses’ cause of death.

The 911 call came from the LA home of her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, at 8 a.m., and emergency crews were unable to revive her. She was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital. The pair wed in 2007.
