Strippers: Don’t expose us

Who knew that strippers had anything left to hide?

More than 60 current and former dancers at Rick’s Cabaret want their names kept secret from lawyers seeking clients to join a class-action wage suit against the chain of jiggle joints. In papers filed yesterday in Manhattan federal court, a lawyer representing the women said, “Our clients report that many patrons in clubs are, in fact, attorneys,” and that their experiences have led them “to be more suspicious of lawyers, not less.”

John Weston said the women are “unified in their alarm and concern,” and that he plans to intervene in the case within the next two weeks.

Judge John Koeltl ruled that “no action is required from the court at this time because no motion has been filed.”
