‘South Park’ jihad

If “South Park” creators are not careful, it won’t just be the infidel Kenny who gets it!

An American Islamic group issued a dire Internet warning to the raunchy, politically incorrect cartoon, threatening the writers because of their over-the-top mocking of the Prophet Mohammed.

In a posting on the Web site RevolutionMuslim.com, an angry poster specifically called out the show’s creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, and seemed to mark them for death.

“We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show,” the scary caution said.

Theo Van Gogh was a Dutch filmmaker who was murdered in 2004 by an Islamic terrorist, angered by a movie he made that highlighted Muslim violence against women.

The Web site posted a graphic photo of the moviemaker’s slain body.

RevolutionMuslim.com also posted a link to a news article that detailed how Parker and Stone purchased a mansion in Colorado — a suggestion that Web posters know where to find the cartoonists.

“South Park” aired the episode last week, showing Mohammed dressed in a bear outfit.

The joke, “South Park” writers said, was that Prophet Mohammed had to be in a bear outfit because he couldn’t be depicted in a cartoon.

It was a direct shot at radicals threatening a Danish newspaper in 2005 for running cartoons with images of the prophet.

The author of the post, Abu Talhah al Amrikee, told Fox News the entry was meant to “raise awareness.”

“It’s not a threat, but it really is a likely outcome,” he said. “They’re going to be basically on a list in the back of the minds of a large number of Muslims. It’s just the reality.”

The Web site was down yesterday, and administrators blamed it on traffic overload.

Officials at Comedy Central, which airs “South Park,” declined comment.
