Chelsea wows with her vows

RHINEBECK, NY — Mazel tov, Chelsea Mezvinsky!

Former first teen Chelsea Clinton tied the knot last night with longtime beau Marc Mezvinsky in a gorgeous sunset ceremony attended by family, friends and a sprinkling of Hollywood and Washington glitter.

The bride and her bridesmaids all wore Vera Wang, while Hillary Rodham Clinton was decked out in a fuchsia gown by Oscar de la Renta, an old family friend.

The groom wore a tuxedo designed by Burberry’s Christopher Bailey, a friend of the couple. Bailey also provided the ties worn by the groomsmen and former President Bill Clinton.

Chelsea and Marc said their “I do’s” in an interfaith wedding at the palatial Astor Courts estate, standing under a rustic bower of vines and white flowers reminiscent of a traditional Jewish chuppah.

A harpist and other musicians entertained the hundreds of guests who filed into neat rows of chairs placed on the rolling green lawn overlooking the Hudson River, some of them sheltering from the summer sun under white parasols.

Chelsea, 30, a Methodist and Marc, 32, who is Jewish, exchanged vows before a rabbi and a reverend. A friend read a poem by Leo Marks entitled “The Life That I Have.”

Moments earlier, a visibly emotional Bill Clinton escorted his only child — who wore a ruched white gown with a tight, silver-beaded strapless bodice and carried a simple bouquet of white flowers — down the aisle as beaming guests looked on.

The former president tenderly clutched his daughter’s hand as she smiled beneath her delicate veil.

“Today we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends,” the Clintons said in a statement. “We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family.”

The union put an end to weeks of intense speculation about the details of Chelsea’s fairytale wedding. As had long been suspected, the reception was catered by The St. Regis, and the wedding cake was a gluten-free creation by La Tulipe Dessert.

Guests, including Chelsea’s uncle Roger Clinton and his son Tyler, partied into the night in tents set up overlooking the river. They danced to tunes by Jim Valli and his band.

For the first dance, Chelsea and her dad danced to a Frank Sinatra ballad, one guest told The Post.

“It was very touching, he was beaming, he was teary-eyed.”

Chelsea and Marc, a hedge-fund banker who’s the son of two former Democratic members of Congress, Edward Mezvinsky and Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, first met when they were teens in 1996.

Husband-and-wife actors Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, longtime Clinton friends, attended.

Political power broker Vernon Jordan, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and former Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe also showed up.
