A Harlem teen was sentenced yesterday to one year in jail — the first young thug to be caged in the violent mugging of a pregnant bank executive near her Gramercy Park apartment last summer.
Lequint Singleton, 17, had pleaded guilty to attempted robbery in the attack on Moriah Lazar Hara, who was five-months pregnant when she was beaten on her way home from a doctor’s appointment.
The baby is fine, she told The Post yesterday — and she’s happy Singleton is going away.
“I’m very glad that he received the one-year sentence,” she said.
“That’s the minimum he deserves.”
Three others — including a girl — were charged in the random, broad-daylight attack, which took place when Hara passed the four teenagers hogging the sidewalk at East 15th Street and Irving Place.
