Eva Longoria ‘starting over’ after divorce from Tony Parker

LOS ANGELES — “Desperate Housewives” actress Eva Longoria is ready to start over and get on with her life after her divorce from basketball star Tony Parker, she tweeted Wednesday.

“Starting over is hard to do….but life goes on..I pray for strength, courage and wisdom on my new journey…,” she wrote in a Twitter posting, two weeks after finalizing her divorce.

The divorce was finalized amicably on January 31, with Longoria agreeing to dismiss the divorce petition she filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, allowing the pair to end their marriage in the same state where they signed a prenuptial agreement.

Longoria, 35, filed for divorce Nov. 17, citing “irreconcilable differences” in the wake of allegations Parker, 28, had a “sexting relationship” with the wife of former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry.

Parker admitted he texted Barry’s wife, Erin, but said they did not have a physical affair. The Barrys divorced earlier in January.
