A-Rod is caught on ‘deck’

A-Rod didn’t know when to fold ’em.

Major League Baseball is looking into allegations the Yankees slugger played in the same illegal high-stakes poker ring that included celebrities Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ben Affleck.

Alex Rodriguez, who was admonished in 2005 by Major League Baseball for his gambling and vowed to stop, also recently played in a separate high-stakes game that had a $40,000 buy-in, according to Star magazine.

“This is the first we have heard of this, and we are looking into it,” MLB spokesman Pat Courtney said.

A-Rod’s spokesman, Richard Rubenstein, denied that the Yankee played in any of the games connected to convicted Ponzi schemer Brad Ruderman.

“Mr. Rodriguez has not participated in these poker games,” he said.
