Three Jets to watch tonight vs. Giants

The third preseason game is traditionally the most important, with starters playing into the second half. The Jets have a few questions to answer in tonight’s game with the Giants. Here are three players to keep an eye on:

K NICK FOLK

The kicking competition looks too close to call at this point. Folk has an edge because he’s the incumbent, but if he falters, Nick Novak could take the lead. Folk missed a 43-yarder last week and booted a kickoff out of bounds.

RG BRANDON MOORE

The player coach Rex Ryan calls the “best right guard in football” has not taken a snap in the preseason after having offseason hip surgery. Moore is a key cog in the Jets offense, and it will be interesting to see if his return shows an immediate payoff.

RB SHONN GREENE

The Jets are giving the third-year back the role of lead back this season. He missed last week’s game with a skin infection. It will be important to see if the Jets starting offense can run the ball, and all eyes will be on Greene.
