The circus is bringing its wild animals to town after all.

City officials cleared the return of three white tigers to the Big Apple late Wednesday night after the animals were exiled to an unknown location because inspectors found the UniverSoul Circus troupe didn’t have big enough cages.

“As far as we know, they will perform in the circus today,” a city Law Department spokeswoman told The Post.

The South Bronx-based operation sued the city earlier this week after the Health Department refused to issue permits for the performance.

The fate of three African elephants that were also barred from coming to town because they hadn’t been tested for tuberculosis is still up in the air.

A March 21 letter to the circus said that the elephants — named Makia, Lovie and Lou — needed up-to-date medical tests.

UniverSoul Circus insisted that the cages housing tigers called Isis, Weber and Shakiera were up to code. The city had said in the letter the enclosures were “insufficient to allow for adequate freedom of movement.”

The Health Department approved the return of UniverSoul’s tigers after UniverSoul provided adequate housing and containment for the animals. The elephants will be allowed to return to New York City following negative TB tests.

A spokesman for the circus did not return calls.
