Moss and Buck, now Fox colleagues, have buried hatchet over ‘disgusting’ mooning (video)

Randy Moss scored 166 career touchdowns (including the playoffs) but not many were more memorable than one that came in a playoff victory over the Packers in 2005 because of his celebration afterwards.

During the 31-17 NFC wild card win, Moss pretended to moon the Lambeau Field crowd upon reaching the end zone after his second touchdown of the game. Play-by-play man Joe Buck was livid, proclaiming, “That was a disgusting act!”.

Moss was fined $10,000 for the incident due to unsportsmanlike and offensive behavior.

But on Sunday night during the Giants-Colts telecast on Fox, Buck was talking to Moss, a new member of the FOX team, for the first time since the incident, and the two made peace after eight years.

“You and I had our moment in time back in January of 2005 at Lambeau field. We good? You did your thing on the field, I did my thing in the booth and for whatever reason…we’ve been linked for the rest of our lifetime,” Buck said.

Moss indicated that the two were indeed fine.

“That’s a good thing. That’s a good thing. I played the game. You analyzed it,” Moss said. “You said what you said. I did what I did. We moved on from it and know we’re working together. How ’bout that?”

The future Hall of Famer retired after the 2012 season having spent 14 years in the NFL with the Vikings, Raiders, Patriots Titans and 49ers. He set numerous receiving records, including most touchdowns in a season with 23.
