Maybe they should get a good paddling, too.

Florida International University officials have suspended the school’s Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity chapter following a series of Facebook posts showing half-naked girls, soliciting drugs and discussing hazing.

An anonymous e-mail recently sent to local media and members of the FIU community included more than 70 screenshots of Facebook posts that appeared to show fraternity members discussing topics are prohibited by university policy. The Miami Herald reports that posts also refer to drug use and make offers to sell drugs. Several posts were of half-nude women who had apparently dated fraternity members.

FIU said in a statement Wednesday that it is investigating possible violations of the university’s code of student conduct. The investigation of the frat, nicknamed Pike, includes the police.

“The university took prompt action and placed the fraternity on interim suspension pending the outcome of investigations by appropriate university departments, including the police,” the school said in a statement. “As a result, the fraternity has been instructed to cease all meetings and events.”

The Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity’s national headquarters in Tennessee says the FIU chapter would fully comply with the temporary suspension and subsequent investigation.

Many of the posts showed frat brothers selling drugs, mostly Adderall. The Miami News Times published many of the screen shots. The frat is frequently referred to as “the Pike Pharmacy.” In tweets about demeaning potential future members, brothers use terms like “pledgicide” and one writes “hazing is amazing.”

A caption on a picture of a girl wearing no shirt reads: “i think she was 17 at the time of the titi pics LOL.”

There was also a post from a brother wanting the fraternity to sign up for a website called Course Hero, which provides term papers and exams in order to cheat.

Ironically, another of the screen shots tells brothers to “be careful with your phones and facebook accounts.”
