Police discover key evidence in robbery of hip hop producer Storch, could lead to arrest: sources

Detectives have uncovered a key piece of evidence that could lead to an arrest in the brazen gunpoint robbery of legendary hip hop producer Scott Storch in Midtown, sources exclusively told The Post today.

Investigators have recovered a pair of sunglasses belonging to one of the stick up men — and are now testing DNA found on the frames to identify the perpetrator, sources said.

Cops also retrieved a broken passenger mirror and a passenger handle from the suspects’ black Ford Edge after the SUV got into a fender bender while fleeing the scene of the crime, the sources said.

Storch, 39, has produced music for some of the biggest names in the industry, including Dr. Dre, Beyonce, 50 Cent, Eve and Snoop Dogg.

The hip hop star and his entourage left Platinum Studios on West 46th Street around 7 a.m. Tuesday and piled into a limousine, sources said.

They called for a cab to take one member of their entourage, Amanda Trentacarli, 29, back to her Time Square hotel, sources said.

Storch ordered one of his friends – a photographer – to stay with Trentacarlini so she wouldn’t be alone while she waited for her cab.

Suddenly, two men brandishing pistols confronted the group and grabbed Storch’s Louis Vuitton briefcase containing about $5,000 from passenger Diego Vittor, 32, sources said

“I saw this black guy and he just pushed Scott and he put a gun to his lower back,” Trentacarlini told The Post. The black guy was screaming very loud. He was very scary. I thought he was going to shoot Scott.”

The photographer then jumped one of the gunmen to pull him away from Storch, Trentacarlini said.

“The photographer said, ‘What are you doing that [briefcase]?’ All I could see is so much pushing. I tried to get away from them, she said.

In addition to the briefcase, the assailants allegedly snatched Storch’s $50,000 necklace from around his neck and removed his $50,000 Rolex Presidential watch from around his wrist.

The bandits jumped into their SUV and sped away eastbound on 46th Street, sources said.

None of the victims were injured, but all were shaken.

“I was almost crying. I felt really bad. Scott looked really disappointed,” Trentacarlini said.
