Man jumps to his death off building in Williamsburg

Tragedy struck at a residential mental health facility in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Saturday night, when a 43-year-old man jumped from the roof to his death.

The man leaped at around 8 p.m. and was declared dead at Woodhull Hospital, according to police.

It was not clear Saturday night what the man’s connection was to the four-story facility on Broadway near the Williamsburg Bridge.

A man who identified himself as a counselor at the facility, a branch of Pesach Tikvah Family and Children’s Services, looked visibly shaken as he returned from visiting the morgue to identify the body. He declined comment.
