NBC snared nearly 25 million viewers for its opening game, which featured Peyton Manning tossing seven touchdowns as Denver beat defending Super Bowl champs Baltimore 49-27.
That was up about 1 million viewers from last season, when the Giants-Cowboys opener was competing against the Democratic National Convention.
