Student accepted to all eight Ivy League schools

A Long Island high-school student aced his college applications and was accepted to every single Ivy League school in the fall.

Kwasi Enin, a violist and aspiring physician from Shirley, completed his sweep of the nation’s eight most prestigious universities last week when he received an e-mail from Harvard saying that he’d been accepted, according to USA Today. He had already gotten the nod from Columbia, Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Princeton, Penn and Yale.

“It was extraordinary,” Nancy Winkler, his guidance counselor at William Floyd HS, told the paper. “It’s a big deal when we have students apply to one or two Ivies. To get into one or two is huge.”

Enin, 17, said he hasn’t made a decision yet.

For good measure, he also applied to three state universities and Duke. He was accepted by those schools as well.
