Bicyclist struck, killed by BMW on hit-and-run rampage

A BMW driver struck and killed a bicyclist in Bushwick Wednesday morning and then hit an SUV while fleeing the wrong way down a one-way street, injuring a dad taking his daughter to school, cops said.

The unidentified cyclist, 46, was peddling at Halsey Street and Broadway when the 2014 650i BMW struck him about 8:30 a.m. and kept going, with blood all over its hood, police and witnesses said.

“It happened so fast. We saw the man on top of the car and we were like ‘Wow!’” said Shante Washington, 24, who works at Dunkin’ Donuts nearby.

“I was going to throw up. I’ve never seen anything like that,” she said. “I went outside, I seen the guy laying in front of Rite Aid, his head was all messed up and they [emergency responders] already started working on him.”

The victim was rushed to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, cops said.

The maniac then drove down Thomas S. Boyland Street in the wrong direction and crashed into an SUV driven by Alleyne Rush, an electrician neighbors know as “Electro,” who was driving his teen daughter Alana to school.

“Electro” and the girl were rushed to Kings County Hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

“He’s in the hospital right now and taking X-rays to see what’s wrong. He was coming out from the garage and the car hit his side,” Tessa Rush, 59, the victim’s sister, told The Post.

“I heard the noise. That’s when I ran outside. He was complaining about his left arm. He was talking a little bit to the ambulance driver but he was in pain,” said another witness, Ray McCall, 54.

“He was just coming out of the garage taking his daughter to school,” McCall explained.

The Beemer driver left the car and walked away, only to return and grab two bags from the luxe ride and flee on foot.

“He got out of the car, walked away, went across the street, then went back to the car, grabbed two bags and left,” said McCall, who said he could not tell what kind of bags they were because everything happened so fast.

“That’s the crazy part. He was driving down this street. The car was all smashed up. Blood all over the hood,” he added.

Police are still searching for the driver.
