The Jets will face the Falcons on Monday night with a depleted wide receiving corps.
Santonio Holmes will miss Monday’s game and is expected to miss at least a few weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in Sunday’s loss to the Titans, according to a source.
The Jets also are expected to be without Stephen Hill, who suffered a concussion on the second play of Sunday’s game.
To address these losses, the Jets agreed to sign former Bills wide receiver David Nelson on Tuesday, according to a source.
Holmes’ injury occurred in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 38-13 loss. He went to make a cut and dropped to the ground. No one touched him. Holmes had played well in the Jets’ first four games after returning from a season-ending foot injury in Week 4 of 2012.
Nelson played for the Bills from 2010-12. He was in training camp with the Browns this year, but did not make the team.
The Jets also released receiver Ben Obomanu on Tuesday.
Obomanu had three penalties, one declined, against the Titans.
With no Holmes or Hill, the Jets are left with Jeremy Kerley, Clyde Gates, Ryan Spadola and Nelson at wide receiver this week. There likely will be another addition.

The Jets are making a change to their starting offense this week, but not at quarterback.
The Jets will start rookie Brian Winters at left guard and bench Vlad Ducasse, a source confirmed.
Winters was the team’s third-round pick in April’s NFL Draft out of Kent State. Winters was slowed by an ankle injury during training camp and was beat out by Ducasse.
Ducasse, the team’s second-round pick in 2010, showed promise in the first two games.
He played his best game against the Patriots in Week 2, pancaking Vince Wilfork on a touchdown run. But he struggled in the last two weeks. He has committed four penalties and struggled with pass protection.

The Jets released running back Kareem Huggins from the practice squad and signed linebacker Troy Davis to it. … The Jets tried out kick returner/wide receiver Josh Cribbs, according to a source.
