Lady Gaga doesn’t get out of bed for less than half a million. At least that’s how much the singer demanded to appear at the opening of H&M’s new 42nd Street location a few weeks ago.
She only stayed for an hour and 40 minutes, which means she raked in about $5,000 a minute. Her rough day at the office involved rolling in on a double-decker sightseeing bus, cutting a ribbon and shopping with about 100 fans — some of whom waited 30 hours in the cold to see Mother Monster.
But they seemed to save their “Applause” for H&M’s new Isabel Marant line, which launched simultaneously with the Times Square opening. Guess a Lady’s gotta bring home the bucks somehow — sales of her new “ARTPOP” album have plummeted by 81 percent since its release three weeks ago.
