De Blasio officiates marriage of his favorite barista

It was a true espresso of affection by Mayor de Blasio.

Hizzoner paid back his favorite barista Sunday by officiating at the man’s wedding at City Hall.

Edouard Houilliez, a barista at Patisserie Colson on Ninth Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn, routinely serves de Blasio a cup of joe and an oatmeal or chocolate-chip cookie after the mayor’s morning workout at the nearby YMCA.

So after asking girlfriend Emily Shevenock to marry him in January, the 29-year-old French immigrant popped the question to the mayor: Would he officiate their wedding?

“It was always an idea in my mind. Why not ask him? Why not try it?” Houilliez said.

De Blasio immediately said yes.

“I’m so happy I asked him. I’m just afraid that everybody from Colson is going to ask him to celebrate their wedding!” he said.

Still, there was one hitch to Sunday’s five-minute ceremony in the newly renovated Governor’s Room.

Shevenock forgot her bouquet.

Mayoral press secretary Phil Walzak tried to improvise by grabbing a vase of wilting roses off the desk of a coworker.

But the bride-to-be, who is in her 30s, was hesitant to get married holding stolen flowers.

So another staffer dashed out and brought back a big bouquet of white lilies for Shevenock, who wore a sleeveless white gown with sparkly blue sandals.

During the wedding, de Blasio said of the groom, “We bonded over his mastery of espresso.”

“He’s a wonderful part of our neighborhood,” added de Blasio, who was accompanied by his wife, Chirlane McCray.

“Then he told me this special day was coming, and he asked if I could be a part of it, and I told him I would be honored to because he really has been, for me and my family, such a special person.”

Houilliez later dished on the mayor’s coffee tastes.

“He was into espresso for a while, and then he just switched to macchiato, which is even more interesting and a challenge to make,” the barista said.
