A deli worker was seriously injured when a sedan skipped the curb and hit him on the southeast corner of 8th Avenue and 51st Street tonight.
The employee was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center just after the 6 p.m. accident.
The driver was taken to the Roosevelt Hospital with minor injuries.
The flower stand outside Midtown Deli, where the man worked, was smashed to pieces and the car’s front side was crushed by the impact.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
