Thatcher’s iron legacy

The Issue: The death of Britain’s first female prime minister, Margaret Thatcher, and her accomplishments.

***

Margaret Thatcher was well-versed in the ideas of free-market economics, the role of limited but effective government and peace through strength (“Our Fair Lady,” Editorial, April 9).

It was her understanding of these principles that saved Great Britain from the socialist policies that had brought it to the brink of disaster.

May she rest in peace.

Rest in peace, Margaret Thatcher.

She understood what makes the world a better place, as did Ronald Reagan. She truly deserved to be called the Iron Lady.

Her statement that “Socialists always run out of other peoples’ money” will live forever.

She understood what it’s all about. Too bad America has Hillary Clinton, who disagrees with everything that Thatcher stood for.

If America wants a woman in the White House, it should be a fiscal conservative.

Clinton isn’t fit to shine your shoes, Madam Prime Minister.

God bless you.
