Women’s hockey player mocks Pineda in Fenway first pitch

There is no sympathy for Michael Pineda in Boston.

Olympic women’s hockey silver medalist Meghan Duggan, a Massachusetts native, made light of the pine tar-using Yankees pitcher by rubbing her neck before throwing out the first pitch at Fenway Park on Thursday night.

Pineda was ejected from Wednesday’s game against Boston for having an illegal substance, pine tar in this case, on the side of his neck. It resulted in a 10-game suspension.

The Bombers got the last laugh, notching a 14-5 rout of the Red Sox to take two of three games in the series.
