INSIDE THE MATCHUPS

Astros: Harrell earned his second straight victory Wednesday in the Astros’ 10-3 win over Seattle, allowing one run on six hits over seven innings. This will be Harrell’s second career appearance (first start) against the Yankees. He made a relief appearance in August 2010.

Yankees: Pettitte recorded his first loss of the season in his last start against the Rays, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits while striking out 10 over six innings. It was the fourth time in his career he registered at least 10 strikeouts in six innings or less. Tonight will be Pettitte’s second career start against the Astros.
