Tennis star goes on epic vampire rant after mishearing question

We gather Ernests Gulbis is not a fan of “True Blood.”

The No. 12 seed at Wimbledon beat Jurgen Zopp in straight sets on Monday, but the real fun started after the match, when a reporter asked Gulbis if he thought getting rid of umpires was a good idea, maybe letting players play with their own honor system of what is in or out.

Well, Gulbis graced us with one of the best sound bites of the year with this gem:

Clearly, it looks like he thought the reporter said “vampires” instead of umpires. It is a shame he caught on when he did. This could have continued for the rest of the interview, in our book.
