Relaxed Redden has ‘turned the page’ for Bruins

BOSTON — If Wade Redden gets on the ice for the Bruins in this series, the Rangers will get their first in-person look at the defenseman since he was unceremoniously dispatched on waivers to AHL Hartford a handful of days into the 2010 training camp.

“It does and doesn’t [raise emotions],” Redden, who is sidelined with an undisclosed injury, said following practice. “I’ve dealt with it all year and answered questions about it since I’ve come back.”

Redden signed a six-year, $39 million free agent contract with the Blueshirts in July 2008 before being exiled to the minors after two miserable seasons on Broadway.

He played two seasons for the AHL Whale before being set free on an accelerated amnesty buyout in January following the lockout. The 35-year-old signed a one-year deal with St. Louis. He was traded to the Bruins at the deadline.

“It wasn’t ideal, and there were certain days [in Hartford] where there were ups and downs, but I stuck with it,” said Redden, whose availability for Game 2 is uncertain. “It didn’t go great in New York, it went the other way.

“I’ve accepted my part of it, for sure. But that’s been over for me and I’ve kind of turned the page on all that stuff that went on.”

RANGERS PLAYOFF SCHEDULE

* Derick Brassard, whose attempted cross-ice feed for Rick Nash was tipped away by Zdeno Chara before the Bruins swept in for the OT winner on the counter, said facing the Big Z would force him to make adjustments.

“Honestly, yeah,” the center told The Post. “I only played against Boston three or four times when I was with Columbus and never really was matched against Chara.

“His stick and his reach are so big, you kind of have to stay away from him. You need to use your feet and put pucks in areas.

“He’s pretty good,” Brassard said, laughing.

* John Moore apparently lost six teeth after being hit by the puck in Thursday’s Game 1. The defenseman practiced without any ill effects yesterday. … Marc Staal skated with the healthy scratches following the club’s 45-minute formal session. … Darroll Powe, sidelined since suffering a believed concussion in Game 3 against the Capitals, also skated with the scratches.
