Police Commissioner Ray Kelly will accept an award in Washington, DC, today from Secretary of State John Kerry for the NYPD’s work in Haiti.
The NYPD earned the “Excellence in Overseas Criminal Justice Assistance” honor for helping to restore security after Haiti’s 2010 earthquake.
