Girl stabbed outside Bronx middle school

A 14yearold girl was slashed several times near her Bronx middle school Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The victim was stabbed just after school ended at 3 p.m. a few blocks from MS 113, the Richard R. Green School, on Barnes Avenue, according to officials.
“They were screaming and shouting,” said witness Jae Mcphail. “It escalated, and then one girl got stabbed.”
The teen had just come back to school after being suspended a couple weeks ago for fighting with another girl. Police are looking into whether the two incidents are connected.
She was rushed to Jacobi Hospital with a possible collapsed lung.
Cops are looking for at least one girl in connection with the stabbing, but no one has been arrested.
The stabbing came less than a week after a fatal stabbing outside IS 117 in The Bronx.
Noel Perez, 14, allegedly killed relentless bully Timothy Crump, also 14.
