Daredevil driver who encircled city in 24 minutes jailed again

The daredevil busted after zipping around Manhattan in his BMW in just 24 minutes — posting footage of the boneheaded stunt on YouTube — landed in jail Tuesday after he was caught driving again.

“He was directed by the court not to drive, and he essentially said, ‘I don’t care!’ ” fumed Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Jill Konviser at Adam Tang’s brief hearing.

The judge raised Tang’s bail to $25,000 bond or $15,000 cash because he violated his previous $5,000 bail conditions when he was caught driving with a suspended license on April 5 in The Bronx.

“[Police] claim that there was something covering his plate” when they stopped him, said Tang’s lawyer, Greg Gomez. “He wasn’t speeding or doing anything out of the ordinary.”

Tang, 32, who goes by the nickname “Afroduck,” had to surrender his license and passport after the August stunt in which he circled the island in his 2006 BMW Z4.

He traveled 26.4 miles in 24 minutes and 7 seconds, an average of more than 65 mph, and posted footage on YouTube, garnering more than 800,000 views. Tang is expected to post the new bail and return to court May 20.
