Voicemail records last moments of victim during alleged slay by Ivy League boyfriend

A Queens woman can be heard on a cell phone voicemail begging for her life moments before her Ivy League boyfriend strangled her to death — and it will be the smoking gun evidence at his upcoming trial.

Weight Watchers financial analyst, Danielle Thomas, whose body was found bruised and bloody in a tub filled with bags of ice in their Astoria apartment a year ago, pleaded for mercy from her allegedly abusive boyfriend, Jason Bohn, who prosecutors say enjoyed torturing her.

“Why did you call 508, why did you call that number?” he repeatedly asked her nearly 20 times in a jealous rage.

Some point during the violent early morning attack, Thomas’ cell phone dialed her friend’s phone at 3:20 AM and recorded the defendant’s brutal “repeated manual strangulations” that contributed to her death, according to court documents.

“Jason! I can’t breathe…Help me, Jason!” according to a transcript obtained by the Post.

On the recording, Bohn grabbed Thomas’ throat more than seven times while demanding answers as she kept saying, “I don’t know” and “Jason I love you” while gasping for air.

Bohn, 34, replies, “You have five seconds…or else you die.”

At one point as he is strangling her the defendant tauntingly asks her, “‘How does it feel?”

The 27-year-old woman is heard being strangled and then released repeatedly during the voicemail message until the call came to an end.

Weeks before the Danville, Kentucky native was viciously murdered, she obtained an order of protection against Bohn after he allegedly assaulted her. The criminal contempt and harassment charges were consolidated with the murder indictment.

Its unclear if she pocket dialed or purposely called her pal.

Bohn’s trial is expected to begin later this year.

If convicted, he faces life without parole.
