The real-estate titan accused of raping a woman he met on a “sugar daddy” Web site won’t face charges, prosecutors said yesterday.
The case against Lakhinder Vohra, a former broker at the high-end Manhattan firm Nest Seekers, fell apart after prosecutors combed through e-mails, surveillance footage and the online-dating accounts of both him and his accuser and found nothing to corroborate her story, a Manhattan Criminal Court hearing revealed.
The 47-year-old fat cat had met the 26-year-old on Seek-ingArrangement.com, which caters to older rich men eager to lavish cash and gifts on “young sugar babies.’’Vohra had been already banned from the sugar-daddy Web site before the alleged incident for reputedly harassing and groping “sugar babies.’’
In January, the chubby, self-professed party animal invited her back to his luxurious Wall Street apartment, where she claimed he threw her on his bed face-first and raped her.
He denied the charge.
