The news that “Scandal” cast member Columbus Short was arrested for allegedly beating up another guy in an LA bar fight recalls other TV actors who’ve been arrested while appearing on network shows.

The one-time “CSI” star was arrested on felony battery charges in November 2011 for allegedly breaking his ex-girlfriend’s nose. Earlier that year, he was arrested for drug possession of cocaine, ecstasy and heroin, for which he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 hours of a diversion program.

The star of the USA series “Burn Notice” was arrested by Miami Beach police in 2009 on suspicion of drunk driving. Donovan was released on $1,000 bail. The charges were eventually reduced to reckless driving.

Kiefer Sutherland

Quite a record here for the once-and-future star of “24.” Some of the highlights: In 2004, Sutherland was arrested for a DUI. In 2007, he was arrested on a misdemeanor drunk-driving charge. He pleaded no contest and served 48 days in jail. In 2009, Sutherland was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly head-butting fashion designer Jack McCollough.

The “Iron Man” actor may be a blockbuster star now, but his bad-boy past included being arrested numerous times from 1996 to 2001 on drug-related charges, and he was sentenced to three years in a substance abuse facility/state prison (he served a year). After his release, he was cast on “Ally McBeal,” but subsequent drug arrests got him written out of the show after just one season.

The former star of “CSI: Miami,” “Army Wives” and “NYPD Blue” was arrested in Malibu, Calif., in 2001 for suspicion of drunk driving after she refused to take a breathalyzer test. She subsequently pleaded no contest and was sentenced to two years probation, fined and ordered to take a defensive driving course.

The “Home Improvement” star was arrested for DUI in Michigan in 1997 and sentenced to one year probation, for which he also spent time in rehab for alcohol abuse.

The former “Two and a Half Men” star — currently headlining “Anger Management” on FX — has one of the longer rap sheets in Hollywood, having been arrested multiple times on drug possession and assault charges. The latest was in 2009, when he was arrested for assaulting his wife, Brooke Mueller, in Aspen, Colo. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and was sentenced to 30 days in a drug rehab center, 30 days probation and 36 hours of . . . wait for it. . . anger management.
