Couple’s lost $50M lottery ticket returned months later

They got lucky — twice!

A Canadian couple won a $50 million jackpot, but then lost the winning lottery ticket — only to get it back, thanks to a kindhearted churchgoer.

Hakeem Nosiru, a Nigerian immigrant from Brampton, southern Ontario, was thrilled to discover he had won big bucks from a Lotto Max ticket back in January, the Toronto Sun reported.

He was so nervous about misplacing it, he handed it to his wife, Abiola Nosiru, who put it in her purse — then lost it the next day, according to the paper.

“I couldn’t sleep for days, I couldn’t eat. I was devastated,” Abiola said.

The disappointed couple searched for the ticket for months and eventually gave up — until a woman called their home on April 1.

The do-gooder, who was a member of their church, told the couple they had dropped the ticket while church was in session.

Using an address and name Hakeem had penned on the back of the ticket, she tracked them down and gave it back.

The grateful couple is still celebrating.

“We are relieved, we are very excited, we are very happy … We’re going to relax with our four children and grandchildren.”

Hakeem said, “Thank God!”
