A power outage is leaving 550 people in the dark Wednesday night on a trendy Soho block, according to a Con Ed spokesman.
The lights went out on Sullivan Street between West Houston and Prince Streets at about 8:00 p.m. due to an underground cable failure, the representative said.
The block is home to the chic Wendy Nichol boutique and popular lounge The Room.
Con Ed crews were working late Wednesday night to restore power to the 555 affected customers, but there was no estimate when repairs would be completed, the spokesman said.
