Amazon’s streaming 10 new pilots for your consideration

Amazon launched its next batch of pilots on its Instant Video service Thursday for viewers to watch and rate to help decide which become series.

The crop includes two dramas, three comedies and five children’s series, all of which are available to stream for free. They are:

‘The After’

From “The X-Files” creator Chris Carter, the drama follows eight strangers who are thrown together by mysterious forces and must help each other survive in a violent world. Watch here.

‘Bosch’

Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling Harry Bosch book series, the drama follows a LAPD homicide detective working to solve the murder of a 13-year-old boy while standing trial for the murder of a suspected serial killer. Watch here.

‘Mozart in the Jungle’

The dramedy looks behind the scenes at the symphony — a world of sex, drugs and classical music. It’s based on the memoir of the same name by Blair Tindall and co-written by Jason Schwartzman (“Bored to Death,” “Saving Mr. Banks”). Watch here.

‘The Rebels’

Sports comedy about a woman (Natalie Zea) who becomes the owner of a pro football team after her husband suddenly dies. The creative team includes former New York Giant and “Live!” co-host Michael Strahan and Ice Cube. Watch here.

‘Transparent’

A dark comedy about a Los Angeles family with serious boundary issues that has their past and future unravel after a dramatic admission. Stars Jeffrey Tambor, Judith Light, Gaby Hoffman, Amy Landecker and Jay Duplass. Watch here.

The kids’ pilots are “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street,” about a boy and his two best friends; “The Jo B. and G. Raff Show,” an animated series meant to teach preschoolers conflict resolution; “Hardboiled Eggheads,” about two kid special agents correcting the mistakes of science; “Maker Shack Agency,” about a 13-year-old inventor who creates gadgets for other kids; and “Wishenpoof!,” an animated pilot about a girl with the power to make wishes come true.

Amazon premiered its first scripted comedies “Alpha House” and “Betas” last fall.
