Roger Mason robbed after Heat win

Former Knicks guard Roger Mason Jr. — currently on the Heat — and his sister were the alleged victims of a robbery on Sunday night, following Miami’s one-point win over Charlotte.

According to NBC Miami, Mason’s Rolex watch and his sister’s purse were stolen, after four men entered Ni.Do. Caffe on Biscayne Boulevard and robbed the restaurant’s customers before fleeing the scene.

Miami Police spokeswoman Frederica Burden said shots were fired either inside or outside the restaurant, but no one was hit.

Two of the suspects were soon caught, after a chase with a black Cadillac Escalade that was identified as the getaway car.  The other two suspects have not been apprehended.

Rashaud Stroud, 32, and Steven Dawson, 30, face charges of armed robbery with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. Stroud reportedly admitted to the heist while in custody, while Dawson could face additional charges since he had some of the stolen items in his possession at the time of the arrest.

Mason, 33, is in his first season with the Heat, averaging three points in 11 minutes per game.
