Woody: Nix wives’ tales

It would be a great drama, but the Woodman doesn’t want it playing out in real life.

Woody Allen wants a judge to block ex-wife Mia Farrow and current wife, Soon-Yi Preven — Farrow’s adopted daughter — from being called as witnesses at a trial this month. His lawyers filed papers in Manhattan federal court yesterday, describing the move by clothing firm American Apparel Inc. as a “brutish attempt to smear and intimidate” him.

A lawsuit by Allen says American Apparel put his image on billboards without his authorization, damaging his reputation. American Apparel counters that his image was already a mess, and the witnesses would demonstrate that.
