Mayor Bloomberg predicted yesterday that hikes for rent-stabilized tenants will be a “lot lower” this year than last year’s 4.5 and 8.5 percent.
“My guess is that they’ll have a lot lower increases because [landlords’] costs have gone down and they can justify it,” Bloomberg said, but the Rent Guidelines Board will decide this month.
