RIVERS SLAMS LENO IN FEUD, PT. 2

First it was Joan Rivers v. Johnny Carson. Now the Jurassic comic is taking aim at newly ousted “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno.

“I think it is brilliant that they (are putting) Leno on at ten because America can get bored more easily and go to sleep earlier,” Rivers, 75, told TV critics in Los Angeles today. “It is nice for the Midwest because the crops will be greener.”

The red carpet queen-turned-“Celebrity Apprentice” was unleashed to promote her return to basic cable on the new TV Land series “How Did You Get So Rich.”

The six episode series follow Rivers as she travels from Miami Beach to Beverly Hills, chatting with everyday folks who made millions marketing items like Slankets and fake Hillbilly teeth.

“We were originally going to sell this to the Food Network,” the recently roasted comedienne says. “It was going to be called ‘How Did You Get Fatter Than A Fifth of An Acre with Kirstie Alley.'”

“Our follow up show is going to be called ‘How Did You Get So Poor?’ It will be hosted by the Madoffs. Everyone will have the same answer: ‘Because of you.'”
