Sears revamps ‘Kidville’ play and learning center

Sears’ famed family photo center is finally getting a makeover.

Kidville, an activity-centric play and learning center that caters to the zero through 5-year-old stroller set, has taken over the children’s section at Sears in Newport Centre Jersey City.

If successful, the pilot program could be replicated at Sears stores across the country, sources say.

At Sears in Jersey City, parents will not be able to drop-and-shop. However, they will be able to participate with their children at Kidville’s state-of-the-art play center — free to any Sears shopper who has a proof-of-purchase receipt.

In addition, Kidville will host weekly events, like storytimes, weekend kids’ haircuts in the Kidville Salon and Sunday “Rockin’ Railroad Family Concerts.”

Kidville will also blog on ShopYourWay.com.
