TBS ADDS ‘VERY FUNNY’ MEADOWS TO LATE LINEUP

TBS is adding to its late night comedy lineup.

The network has signed “Saturday Night Live” alum Tim Meadows to host “The Very Funny Show,” a 10-episode, half-hour series.

The show will feature standup performances at Zanies Comedy Club in Chicago during the TBS “Just for Laughs” festival.

The series is scheduled to air in November.

Comedians slated to appear on “The Very Funny Show” include New England favorite Bob Marley, Dwight Slade and Steve Byrne.

Meadows currently appears in the TBS sitcom “The Bill Engvall Show,” which returns for its third season on July 18.

He plays Bill Pearson’s (Engvall) best friend.

Meadows, 48, appeared on “SNL” from 1991 through 2000.

TBS announced that George Lopez will get his own talk show, which will begin in November.
