Angry Kerik has to wait for trial by ire

A Westchester federal judge yesterday pushed Bernard Kerik’s corruption trial back another two weeks — as the former New York correction and police commissioner continued to seethe behind bars and his lawyers stepped up their fight to have bail reinstated.

Jury selection was moved to Nov. 9 after each side said it needed to file new motions.

Kerik, 54, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of accepting renovations to his Bronx co-op from a firm seeking city contracts.

Judge Stephen Robinson last week revoked the $500,000 bail for the man now known as inmate No. 210-717.

Tomorrow, Kerik’s attorneys will argue before the federal Court of Appeals in Manhattan that their client is entitled to bail.
