George Stephanopoulos’ first day on “GMA” will be Monday.
ABC is expected to “officially” announce Stephanopoulos as Diane Sawyer’s replacement today, along with Juju Chang replacing Chris Cuomo as “GMA” newsreader.
Stephanopoulos is expected to remain as host of “This Week,” his Sunday-morning newsmaker show, for a transitional period of indeterminate length.
Sawyer’s last day at “GMA” is tomorrow. She begins her new run as anchor of “World News” Dec. 21.
