A thug who skipped out on his cab fare was busted after he robbed and attacked the hack who confronted him about the payment, cops said yesterday.

Mike Nguyen, 25, and two pals climbed into the taxi at West 41st Street and Sixth Avenue at about 10 p.m. Saturday and asked to be taken to Second Avenue and East 35th Street.

The driver pulled over on Second Avenue near 35th, and all three passengers got out without paying, cops said.

The driver grabbed the fare-beaters and demanded his cash, but Nguyen allegedly slugged him and snatched his cellphone.

The cabby called police, and Nguyen was busted for assault and petit larceny.

A wild police chase ended with two thieves in handcuffs after they crashed their stolen car on the Upper East Side, authorities said yesterday.

Using a metal object, Carl Rutherford, 28, allegedly broke into a 2007 Infiniti on East 74th Street near York Avenue at 3 a.m. Friday while his pal Yusuf Stewart, 30, allegedly acted as a lookout.

They allegedly hopped into the car and sped off with a cop hot on their tail.

The duo zipped through 13 city blocks and jumped a curb before crashing on 91st Street near Second Avenue, sources said.

Responding officers nabbed the suspects a block from the scene.

Both were charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and criminal mischief.

Brooklyn

The trick’s on him.

A teen was arrested on Halloween after tossing eggs at a Jewish man while yelling anti-Semitic slurs in Williamsburg, police sources said yesterday.

Dwayne Cunningham, 16, allegedly pelted the victim, 34, with eggs on Taylor Street near Bedford Avenue at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The punk yelled, “Jew! Jew! Jew!” as the victim ran into a nearby store and called 911.

Cops nabbed Cunningham nearby.

A wanted felon made a short-lived dash for freedom after cops tried to arrest him for a burglary in Flatbush.

Kenneth Respass, 26, was driving a Dodge Ram pick-up truck when cops on Staten Island first stopped him for allegedly blowing through a stop sign at Steuben Street and Oder Avenue in the Concord section at about 1 a.m. yesterday.

A check of his license revealed that he was wanted by investigators in Brooklyn’s 70th Precinct for the Flatbush burglary.

When cops asked Respass to step out of the car, he allegedly slammed on the gas and smashed into the police car, then fled over the Verrazano Bridge.

Cops notified their counterparts in Brooklyn, who caught Respass on East 18th Street near Newkirk Avenue in Flatbush.

A 16-year-old boy with a rap sheet was found shot to death yesterday outside the Brownsville housing project where he lived.

Hakeem Grazenhise was discovered with several gunshot wounds in front of a building on Union Street near Sutter Avenue at about 6 p.m., cops said.

Grazenhise, whose arrest history included assault and robbery, died at Brookdale Hospital.

Queens

Cops tracked down a brute weeks after he allegedly helped rob and beat a man in Rego Park.

The victim told cops that he was sitting in an eatery on Queens Boulevard near 67th Road at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 14 when one of two thugs sneaked up and snatched his cellphone, yanking the ear piece out of his ear.

The victim chased the two creeps, who stopped at one point to kick the man in the head, sources said.

One of the suspects was finally identified as Daniel Petrenko, 21. He was busted Oct. 19 and charged with robbery. His alleged accomplice was at large.

A brave homeowner and his son caught a prowler in their Ozone Park house.

Suspect Hector Bermudez, 51, allegedly pried open the front door and slipped into the home on 117th Street near 101st Avenue at about noon Oct. 20.

The father-and-son team grabbed Bermudez and checked his pockets to find a watch, cellphone and some cash that he’d allegedly stolen from the house. They also found a screwdriver in his back pocket, sources said.

Bermudez later confessed that he had broken in and was charged with burglary and grand larceny, authorities said.

Staten Island

A 16-year-old and two younger cohorts were busted after they choked and robbed two other boys in Great Kills, authorities said yesterday.

Howard Bethea and his accomplices allegedly grabbed the victims as they walked along Colon Avenue near Katon Avenue at 9 p.m. Saturday.

One of the punks grabbed a victim by the throat, while another suspect pushed the other boy to the ground, according to court papers.

“Gimme everything you got!” the attackers allegedly demanded.

The thugs then rifled through the boys’ pockets and took an iPhone from each before fleeing, sources said.

Cops caught Bethea and his accomplices nearby. His cohorts names are being withheld because of their ages.
