3 hurt as taxi hits SoHo cafe

A taxi jumped a curb and smashed into the SoHo celeb haunt Café Habana last night, striking three women standing outside, police and witnesses said.

The cab “went through a restaurant door and hit the women. They all fell down,” said witness Mohammad Azam, 40, a limo driver from New Jersey. “I got out of my car, and they all were crying.”

The three women were taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries.

The crash occurred at around 5:45 p.m., authorities said.

Café Habana, at Prince and Elizabeth streets, is known to draw stars such as Owen Wilson and Josh Hartnett.

Witness Matthew Perez, 15, said he saw one of the injured women underneath the cab. “I saw her being pulled out,” he said.

The cabdriver was not issued any summonses, police said.
