It’s a photo fit for a king.
In the first official portraits of England’s potential future monarchs, Prince William and fiancée Kate Middleton posed for famed fashion photographer Mario Testino.
The handsome pics were released yesterday by the palace to mark their engagement.
The happy couple, who announced their engagement last month, posed in the Council Chamber in the State Apartment in St. James’s Palace. In both photos, Kate’s engagement ring — an oval sapphire stone surrounded by 14 diamonds that belonged to Princess Diana—is prominently on display.
Testino was the official royal photographer for Prince William’s 21st birthday and Prince Harry’s 20th bash and shot Prince Charles’ official Christmas card.
The royal wedding date is April 29 atWestminster Abbey in London.
