Elizabeth Smart to work as correspondent for ABC News: report

Elizabeth Smart, who at age 14 in 2002 was abducted from her Utah home and held captive for nine months, will reportedly work for ABC News on missing-persons stories.

Smart will contribute to such programs as “Good Morning America” and “Nightline” when “there are missing children or missing-person cases in the news,” a network spokeswoman told The Daily Beast last night.

The Web site said Smart, 23, could begin work next week.
