Shark jumps over Florida surfer (VIDEO)

Jumping the shark isn’t just for bad TV shows anymore.

A 4-foot long spinner shark was caught on video jumping over a surfer as a large wave formed off Panama City, Fla., CBS News reported today.

In the video, the shark can be seen flying through the air as the surprised surfer looks up.

Last year, there were 79 shark attacks on people across the world — with six fatalities, according to the University of Florida.

Luckily for this surfer, spinner sharks are known to munch on small fish, not people.

Typically found in shallow water in the Gulf of Mexico and in many other places around the world, spinner sharks weigh about 120 pounds and enjoy shallow waters.
