Hah! You call this a storm?

Today’s expected nor’easter will not be the heavy storm originally forecast, as the city will see only a light coating of wet snow this morning — and it will all melt by the afternoon.

Since temperatures will hover around freezing, AccuWeather last night rolled back its forecast of two inches of snow to just a dusting that will quickly wash away.

Tomorrow, the storm could drop an inch of wet snowfall — but it won’t stick because temperatures will be around 40 degrees, said AccuWeather meteorologist Brian Edwards.

He added that Winter Storm Saturn should be the last for 2013.

“It’s March and weirder things have happened. But I don’t see snow imminent in the future at this point,” Edwards said.

Saturn’s biggest danger may be strong winds that could knock out power lines and snap tree limbs.

“One of the bigger impacts is wind and coastal flooding with 45 to 50 [mph] gusts in the city and 60 along the southern coast of Long Island and New Jersey,” Edwards warned.

A coastal flood warning is in effect from 1 a.m. until 8 a.m. today in New Jersey from Sandy Hook to Cape May. Parts of southern New England could get upwards of 6 inches or more.

The weekend will bring temps in the 50s with partly sunny skies.

Next week should feature milder weather.
