Cops collar man in LI bank rob spree

A robber in Suffolk County knocked off three banks and attempted to rob a fourth in an eight-day crime spree on Long Island, Suffolk cops said Friday.

Suspect John Harvey’s spree began on Feb. 27th in Mastic, where cops say he hit a Capital One Bank and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Monday, police said Harvey, 21, robbed a Chase Bank in Center Moriches, and attempted to rob another bank in Mastic, but came up empty-handed, cops said.

The spree came to a halt after one last successful hit, where cops say Harvey robbed a Chase Bank in Patchogue on Thursday.

He was arrested Friday afternoon in Mastic without incident.

Harvey was charged with three counts of robbery in the third degree and one count of attempted robbery.

He will be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip, authorities said.
